Board of Directors 2001-2002 Nominees

On July 25, 2001, at the NASE Annual Meeting in Marco Island, Fla., Members will cast their votes for the 2001-2002 board of directors. Here is the slate of nominees. 



David Alders
Carrizo Creek Corporation, Texas

Mr. Alders is the president or manager of a variety of small businesses and investments including timberland, cattle and poultry operations, a real estate partnership, and a chemical lawn care and pest control company. He graduated with honors from Texas A&M University and holds leadership positions in his church and in various industry groups and civic organizations.

Jim Hambuchen
Hambuchen Electric, Arkansas

Mr. Hambuchen has served on the board in various capacities and chairs several committees. His small-business experience spans 31 years, and he has served with numerous small-business advisory groups for the state of Arkansas.

NASE President Robert Hughes
Hall & Hughes, CPAs, Texas
As President of the NASE, Mr. Hughes brings to the Board 19 years experience as a small-business owner. His work as a certified public accountant provides him with an in-depth understanding of many of the issues facing the self-employed. Hughes is the past secretary-treasurer and has served on the NASE Board since 1986.

Charles Montgomery
United Management & Consulting, Inc. Oklahoma

With 32 years sales, marketing and management experience, Mr. Montgomery is well versed in the insurance industry, providing Oklahoma residents with health claims processing and prescription drug contracts. 

Judith Obermayer, Ph.D.
Obermayer Associates, Massachusetts

Past chairman of the board, Ms. Oberymayer has spent many years as a consultant to small companies providing strategic business and financial planning services. She is also currently involved in a variety of economic development activities to encourage entrepreneurship among disadvantaged populations and inner city residents as means to economic self-sufficiency.

Shonda Parker
Naturally Healthy, North Carolina

The author of several books, Mrs. Parker publishes two magazines and speaks nationally on family health. She brings to the board prior experience of serving as President of another non-profit organization.

Robert Pool
Robert L. Pool Publishing Consultants, Minnesota

Past chairman of the board, Mr. Pool is involved in several small business ventures including small business investments, real estate and a family farm. He has been self-employed and an NASE director for 15 years. 


John Wright
Travel Fax Business Services, Inc., Texas

Mr. Wright has created, developed, and managed his own business center/travel agency since 1989. Prior experiences include 22 years within the air transportation industry where he has held various positions in sales and management.
